A portrait of goettgen

Edler Schhmuck im antiken Stil von goettgen

goettgen – a name that has been connected with jewellery for 4 generations already.

The foundation year 1902

In 1902, Wilhelm Goettgen, the founder of the company and one of five diamond grinders in his family, moved from Idar-Oberstein to Berchtesgaden in Bavaria.

Here he started to trade in jewellery, laying the foundations of our company’s success story which has lasted to the present.

Jewellery collections beyond the standard since 1968

In 1968 we started with the manufacturing of our present collection, and in 1970 we added a selection of antique jewellery.

Having very successful sales, we expanded the programme: we stuck to our principles, compiled a garnet collection that pleasantly differs from the standard and replenished our outstanding collection of gold and jewellery in the style of ancient times.

Ageless handcraftship from the goldsmith master’s shop

Creative and fascinating craftsmanship represents a great tradition, whose glamour and up-to-dateness has always been and always will be ageless.

Tradition meets modernity

The design of our jewellery represents tradition; whereas with our service, we are up-to-date: Our experienced and motivated staff is devoted and committed to our customer service. Satisfaction of special desires, quick delivery and first-class service – also after sales – is written in CAPITAL at goettgen.
